Just before he kisses Lissa like there is no tomorrow and Sophia threatens to kill her.This is a very good series opener. I read Betting on Julia, book two, first, then read this one. Though each book can standalone, given the opportunity, I would recommend reading them in order. This book aptly sets the stage for book two.

This is the first book I've read by Nina, and I definitely enjoyed it. I hope she writes a follow up to let us know how his sister fares.

This is filled with great character's ,a very good story line ,it was hard to put this down while my kindle charged ,a great stand alone story and I hope Nina drift writes more of these character's.
I enjoyed this book way more than I anticipated. It had a interesting plot and the romance wasn't lacking either. I was definitely invested in the characters. I would recommend this book.
I really enjoyed Lissa and Daniel. Lissa finally came back to see Daniel and try to get over him. Daniel changed, but not like Lissa thought. Daniel was trying to protect his family so he was distant to everyone. I enjoyed seeing Lissa figure out what Daniel was and her reaction to him. It was a good book.
Lissa's had a crush on her best friends brother for as long as she can remember, she even got his virginity - right before running away to Africa. Now, ten years later, she's back but Daniel seems to be a totally new and other person. His girlfriend is dubbed The Evil One, so is it any wonder that his sisters persuade Lissa into Operation Saving Daniel?
Question is, will Lissa's heart survive this? He's still the one that makes it all aflutter..
Smutty fluff, action and suspense in a great combo, and I can't wait to read more from this world. I need to know about Julia, Joe and Lissa's brother..

Lissa and Daniel are wildly passionate but they guard their heart. Nina captures their emotions and their pain. All the characters are well developed and interesting. The story is well plotted and delivers surprise after surprise. I loved the book and I'm hoping that we get to know more about the rest of the cast. I want to know their secrets.
